Read along with us this August

Dear Listeners,

Virginia Woolf wrote that “All women together ought to let flowers fall on the tomb of Aphra Behn… for it was she who earned them the right to speak their minds.” We’ll be letting our metaphorical flowers fall for Behn on Lost Ladies of Lit this month. If you’d like to read along with us, here’s our complete schedule for the remainder of August:

August 10: Jane and Mary Findlater — Crossriggs with Julie and Shawna Benson. Our guests, screenwriting sisters Shawna and Julie Benson, worked on the CW’s critically-acclaimed series The 100 and Netflix’s Wu Assassins.

August 17: Back-to-School Mini. We’ll share our favorite boarding school novels in this episode.

August 24: Aphra Behn — The History of the Nun: Or The Fair Vow-Breaker with Dr. Sarah Raff, an associate professor of English at Pomona College in California. A graduate of Yale University’s Ph.D. program, Sarah is the author of Jane Austen’s Erotic Advice, which was published by Oxford University Press in 2014.

August 31: Listen, Sister! In this mini episode, we’ll be talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to sisters in literature, from characters to authors.

Our very best,

Kim & Amy
